Brenda's sister Karen

Hi Everyone! Our trip to see Brenda was very interesting. We ate awesome food, some of which they cooked for us. We had a fantastic bean soup and stuffed cornbread one day, shrimp and scallops another day. We tried out a brand new restaurant by Brenda's and Ricky's house yet another day, (Sweeney's on Johns Island) which had just opened days before. The food was so fresh and tasty; it was awesome! In one dish, they had the tiniest mushrooms I had ever seen.

We went shopping. Brenda loves trying on hats! We bought her a cute pair of sandals, too. She said she will ask her attendant to polish her toenails to show them off.

We went to the beach one day, and, while Ricky and Mark played in the waves, Brenda and I took time to make sandcastles as the tide went out. It was so much fun! She had purchased sandcastle toys earlier.

The feel of the warm saltwater was amazing on these old bones! The great thing about saltwater is that the salt helps to kill off any bacteria in the water, unlike our Great Lakes freshwater beaches up north. Love it! I actually felt better the next day.
